In February 1984 the daily newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung published a letter to the editor titled "Expressed Emotions", signed by Ron, Kix and Pit:

“...Hi fans - we (especially Pit) thank you for your praise - stop - we see graffiti spraying not as graffiti or damage to property, like many others, but as art. The artistic aspect is not just the difficulty of the graffiti, but the opportunity for the individual to to express their impressions and, above all, emotions in graffiti, to use and use them correctly. This is possible in these very pictures and painted texts - stop “Graffiti is poetry on the walls" - stop.
We would be happy if you would publish this letter
Sincerely Ron, Kix & Pit

PLAYBOY

In 1989, Playboy magazine covered the Munich scene, featuring Neon, Cemnoz, Milk, Techno and Won. The article with photo fold outs, showcases both the artists' perspective and the police's perspective.

The article describes a typical night for the police officers Norbert Wittmann und Thomas Mante from the SOKO special graffiti unit:

"Four to five times a night, they huddle in the cold for what feels like half an eternity, waiting at a distance from a parked S-Bahn train for any sound, movement or irregularity that might betray the presence of the boys. The only suspects they usually find are a dozing train driver or a squirrel, neither of whom can easily be arrested."
